fig2ps software package provides Converts xfig files into ps, eps or pdf files using LaTeX for processing text, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fig2ps
fig2ps is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fig2ps package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fig2ps *
You will get with fig2ps package name, version, architecture and description in a table
